To Update the Labor and Baseline Hours for the Work Package

To Update the Baseline Hours

  1. From the Work packaging panel, select a work package category such as Installation work packages.
  2. From the Installation Work Packages list, select the work package for which you want to update baseline hours. The <Title - Description of Work Package> window opens.
  3. Select the Tasks tab.
  4. Select the gear icon and from the drop-down, select Edit package. The Edit work package - <name of work package> window Tasks tab opens.
  5. From Baseline hours, enter the estimated baseline hours.
  6. Select Save. The baseline hours are updated for the work package.

To Manually Update the Actual Labor Hours

  1. From the Work packaging panel, select a work package category such as Installation work packages.
  2. From the Installation Work Packages list, select the work package for which you want to update labor hours. The <Title - Description of Work Package> window opens.
  3. Select the Tasks tab.
  4. Select the gear icon and from the drop-down, select Edit package. The Edit work package - <name of work package> window Tasks tab opens.
  5. Do one of the following:

    For a test or installation work package, turn off the Automatically calculate actual hours checkbox.

    or

    For a construction work package, select Manual from the Calculate CWP actual hours dropdown.

  6. Enter the actual hours for the work package in the Actual labor hours field and select Save. The actual labor hours are updated for the work package.

To Automatically Update the Actual Labor Hours for a Construction Work Package

  1. From the Work packaging panel, select Construction work packages.
  2. From the Construction Work Packages list, select the work package for which you want to update labor hours. The <Title - Description of Work Package> window opens.
  3. Select the Tasks tab.
  4. Select the gear icon and from the drop-down, select Edit package. The Edit work package - <name of work package> window Tasks tab opens.
  5. From the Calculate CWP actual hours drop-down, select one of the following:

    Roll-up from related IWP actual hours - Uses actual hours from related Installation work packages to calculate the actual labor hours for the Construction work package.

    or

    Roll-up of task hours - Calculates actual labor hours for the whole work package from the task actual hours.

  6. Select Save. If you selected Roll-up from related IWP actual hours, the actual labor hours are automatically updated for the work package.
  7. If you selected Roll-up of task hours, select Progress actual hours from the Tasks tab. Text boxes display for each task so that you can enter the actual hours for the tasks.
  8. Enter the actual hours for the tasks and select Save changes. The actual labor hours are automatically updated for the work package.

To Automatically Update the Actual Labor Hours for an Installation or Test Work Package

  1. From the Work packaging panel, select Installation or Test work packages.
  2. From the Installation/Test Work Packages list, select the work package for which you want to update labor hours. The <Title - Description of Work Package> window opens.
  3. Select the Tasks tab.
  4. Select the gear icon and from the drop-down, select Edit package. The Edit work package - <name of work package> window Tasks tab opens.
  5. Turn on the Automatically calculate actual hours checkbox.
  6. Select Save. The Tasks tab opens.
  7. Select Progress actual hours. Text boxes display for each task so that you can enter the actual hours for the tasks.
  8. Enter the actual hours for the tasks and select Save changes. The actual labor hours are automatically updated for the work package.
